Moped Permit Course

The Moped Permit course is now being held online!

This is the required course for 14 to 15-year-old Iowa residents to earn their Iowa DOT Moped Permit. Upon completion of this course, you will receive the certificate that is used to get your Moped Permit through your local DMV. University Scooters is an official Moped Instructor provider for the state of Iowa.

The course is entirely classroom-based (online) and there are no scooter riding requirements. The content is broken up into several chapters much like a school textbook. There are small review questions after each one that we'll discuss and then one final exam. This is a safe learning environment, and we are all here to learn. The attendee's presence and participation are necessary to pass the course, so a camera and microphone are required in order to maintain an active discussion. Because the course is online, to learn in the most productive and effective way, we ask that the students use a computer, rather than a cell phone or tablet.

This course is free if you purchase a scooter from University Scooters*!  Additionally, if you decide to purchase a scooter from us within 6 months of taking the course the price of the course will be subtracted from your scooter!
